General Information

By the year 2011, Gwalior with its population of over 1.85 million would be one of the fastest growing industrial towns of our nation. As the toils of modernization have their maximum impact upon health, health services and health needs of the population are always in a state of flux. Medical facilities need to be constantly re-shaped and re-oriented. A few years earlier, there were inadequate medical facilities in Gwalior and as a result, the patients were compelled to go to different parts of India for their better medical treatment. This created problems in terms of time, money and even treatment. But with the availability of state-of-art technological facilities in Gwalior, the entire perspective has changed.

The Chandak Hospital and Research Institute is an outstanding and substantial proof of the changed medical scenario, providing an absolute health care from minor ailments to major medical and surgical problems, by a team of competent doctors and equally professional nursing staff. The hospital is equipped with the latest medical gadgetry and has exceptional spirit of team-work. The Chandak Hospital and Research Institute’s voyage from 1978 when it was established by veteran orthopaedic surgeon Dr. B.P Chandak with a modest 8-bedded indoor, into a majestic four storied 100 bedded hospital, is a living example of human endeavour, inspiration and excellence that has rewritten health paradigms in the developing world. .Because of its quality services  Chandak Hospital is also recognized by Government of India (Dept. of Health) for the treatment of Central Govt. Employees & their family member under Rule 2 (d) of the CS (MA) Rules, 1944.Chandak Hospital’s success, importantly has been because of its deep belief in value-based management through which it has strived to build quality into the Indian Healthcare System. We believe that nothing can be greater than an enterprise which is governed by ethics and a strong value system. Our mission is to provide health care, matching international standards, to every individual. Further we believe that ” The best interest of the patient is the only interest to be considered.”
